Sri Lankan parliament is likely to be dissolved tomorrow (Monday) mid night after President Mahinda Rajapakse returns home from Russia, according to well informed sources.

The tenure of present parliament will end on April 22 and it is being dissolved two months before the schedule.

The next general election will be held April 9.

Meanwhile, briefing media in Colombo yesterday Minister Maithiripala Sirisena said that the government wants to reach an understanding with the Tamil National Alliance before the parliament election.
